New design media . . .

We've said for years that good design is good design ... meaning that would apply to all types of print and web media for logos, color, brochures, newspapers, magazines, etc.

But what about other types of design?

Below are photos of some jewelry and automotive design by 1214. The ring is in yellow, rose, and white gold, with a center square-cut emerald, side round aquamarines and trilliant diamonds. The Tacoma tailgate is welded powder-coated steel, with a laser-cut stainless steel plate for the owner's initials.

Art canvas -- you need to FEEL this to believe it!

If you've been to the Louisville International Airport lately, no doubt you've noticed the large canvases they have hanging in the hallway between the parking garage and baggage claim area. Printed in not four -- but SIX colors, these acrylic- or watercolor-quality art canvases are stretched over wooden frames, just like actual artist's canvas. They're also UV-coated with a special protectant that makes them more fade-resistant and gives them a longer life.
